New Traffic Techniques
Creating unique videos and loading them to several of the latest and greatest sites has become a major topic of discussion. Most of what I'm reading says, that anyone involved in marketing should be using video, and downloading them to every search engine and portal or lense available. Web 2.0 seems to have started something; today there are several websites that are boasting about their visitors. There have been significant increases in traffic from website employing the techniques and sites.
I am also seeing several new products explaining the workings of the various sites. Here are a few links to some popular sites:
Of course, all the main search engines have areas to load video to their sites as well. Everything points to using video for generating new and cheaper traffic; if you can get it loaded on any of the major new sites. Some videos have been viewed over a million times, and that should lead to some traffic if planned and developed properly. I will have to plead ignorance on my part, since I've started developing a new website and now changing operating system on a new computer. I plan to get involved in all of these when and if I ever get my new website up and going.
Now, is probably the best time to get in and get involved; these sites will sooner or later realize the value and probably start charging. We have to adapt and change our methods if we plan to be successful and it looks like creating video will be required. If you create something useful and or unique and get it before the masses using the new sites; the traffic should come. It's a little different than the old saying about building your website; most data that I'm seeing says that this is the way to Internet traffic and more sales.
