Finding Your Niche
First thing you need to do is know yourself and your strengths and weaknesses. From this point you may find some areas of expertise with which you are already familiar. This is usually a good starting place for beginners. While you're learning it sometimes helps to work with something you have a great deal of experience. Most people have something they are good at, or others think they are good at doing; this is a good place to start looking for your niche.
The first thing you need to do is write down your strengths and weaknesses as many as you can think of sometimes this will turn out to be your likes, and dislikes. It's much easier to do things you like to do; than the ones you don't. Anyway, sit down and make up this list, make sure you write everything down you can think might interest you, or not. Work on this list and when you get it done, come back and see what needs to be done next.
Winning or Losing
Are you sure you worked and got that list done; this is where the winners and losers get determined. The winners actually go through all the steps and learn, the losers are looking for a fast and easy way to just jump out and have it happen. That isn't going to happen, and I'm not aware of anyone that succeeded without some work up front. It isn't impossible, but it is improbable. Many successful people have started and failed more than once. This type of failure is not actually failure; but learning experience.
There are some logical ways to approach problems, or opportunities, how ever you wish to look at them. Logical approaches usually will get you to where you are going somewhat faster than trial and error. Planning is the key, if you establish a good plan and follow the plan; your chance of success is much higher. You have to learn to document and keep records, so you don't make the same mistake over and over.
