Make Lists and Get Busy
1. Set out to make every day the most highly productive.
Set out to accomplish your tasks for each day. Set priority to your task list each day. Determine that you’re going to achieve that number one priority above everything else. If you accomplish even one worthwhile thing everyday, you’ll be motivated to keep moving ahead! Success leads to Success, and a series of successful days makes a highly successful year! Writing down tasks and priortizing them, starting with the one that will have the most impact, will increase your efficiency.
Accomplishment and success begins with a specific, written plan for each day’s work. Create this plan either the evening before, or the first thing in the morning of the day you will accomplish the task. Make yourself do it. It’s vital to your progress in any successful endeavor. This step will have a greater impact than you can imagine; but it needs to be done daily for best results. Create small steps to accomplish a large task and it will become much easier to get done.
After planning your day, start working right away with confidence and excitement. This will help you to get off on the right foot, and make the work much easier. Do your honest-to-goodness best. If some part of your work seems boring, find ways to put more heart and purpose into it, and you’ll be surprised at how much easier it is to accomplish the task. Don't procrastinate get busy and get it done; you will be surprised at your own productivity.
2. Opportunities don’t come everyday, make the most of them.
Whatever you do, always expect success and keep moving forward until you get it. Make the most of your best talents.
Opportunities are all around you! Look for them, and you will find them. Grab them and get busy, opportunity waits for no one! Keep your eyes focused upon one purpose, and remember that perseverance is your best and strongest characteristic. It may carry you far beyond your immediate goal; and it could bring you even greater success than you anticipate, or thought possible.
3. Working is a privilege, and should be done with pride.
You can’t afford, or expect things to be easy while climbing the ladder of success, it's all up hill.
Extraordinary abilities are not required for you to reach the highest level of success. In most instances successful people rise to the top by making the most of their ordinary talents and opportunities; they just use them. A person of average ability inspired by hard work and determination will outstrip a genius; who lacks the common sense of the average person, and doesn’t know where he’s headed.
4. Be courageous, Lead the way!
You’ll be confronted by difficulties and discouragements, but decide to be strong and focused at all times. Make yourself do the difficult things first. As you accomplish more, and more, you will find your energy level has increased. Networking will become much easier as others will recognize your success and want to come along. Your courage and motivation will grow and you will find what once seemed difficult is now much easier.
5. Energy reserves will carry you through.
Store up energy for future use. Success does wonders for increasing energy, maybe that's enthusiasm. Now, you may wonder how you can store up what you don’t have, but you’re better equipped than you think.
At the next sign of mental, or physical laziness, or inclination to give up because of a challenge, or the feeling of being overworked; try the following exercise: Stand up straight, breathe deeply, rise on your toes, and stretch your arms toward the ceiling. Repeat this several times with gusto. Take a walk and clear your head; you will be surprised at how renewed you will feel. Shake out the laziness, and then get back to your work with the renewed energy.
6. Fear is a natural feeling, Work through it!
If you are asked to change job assignments, fear is a natural feeling. Usually, you may not be familiar with all the intricacies of the new job, and you may be concerned about your ability to do the job. Actually, change of work is restful and revs up your brain power unless you let fear overcome you. People don’t often break down from overwork, or changes, but from lack of organization and knowledge. Your supervisor had confidence in your ability to get the job done; or they wouldn't have given it to you. You should also be confident.
Work during all the working hours of the day. Try to make every moment count. Put your whole strength and best effort into the work of the moment. Then remember to make time for leisure outside of your regular business hours. Free time is actually most enjoyable when there’s plenty of hard work before and after it. Really its true!
Organizing and working with a purpose to accomplish your daily tasks may seem difficult at first; but before long you will begin to see the fruits of your labor pay off in many ways. Do everything with focus and all your might, and you will be amazed at what you can accomplish; the life you wished for will be Yours. Efficiency and productivity will lead to your success.
