Blogs and Blogging

Blogs at the present time still seems to be the quickest way to get search engine spiders to visit your webpage. Blogging does require some additional time, but it will be time well spent. I am probably getting at least 30 hits from various search engines per day. Just about everyone I know is in agreement about blogs and getting listed on search engines. Keep your content as focused on your kewords as much as possible and just keep posting at regular intervals. Today, I just basically add similar content to what you will read on this site.

Blogging is gaining popularity everyday, partially because of all the publicity blogs are receiving on the various internet sites. I can't substantiate all the claims, but  do know how many hits I'm getting from search engines and they seem to be greater after I post on the blog. Many other webmasters have been able to sign up for advertisments and say they are receiving ad profits from their blogs. Most of these have found ways to get quite a lot of traffic to their blogs. Many work in specific niches the same as most highly ranked web pags.

Blogging can be fun if you don't make to much work of it; some blogs are just set up for that purpose. Of course, if you want to use it for supporting your webpages; it can require more of your time. Some sites are using RSS feeds and other software to resolve some of the time requirements. There are free and paid blogs available and it is just a matter of preference and convenience depending upon what you are trying to do. I personally am using a free blog (blogger.com) and it seems to work reasonably well and does get me hits from search engines.
