Product Developer Review

This is an endorsement, and an advertisment, because I was offered the opportunity to become an affiliate of this product. I won't normally do this, but I have purchased other products from Armand Morin, and I can attest to his efforts to please his customers. I purchased a fairly expensive piece of software from his site some time ago, and no matter what I tried couldn't make it work. I later found it was my hosts limitations causing the problem. Armand's support team worked with me, and I don't think I ever had to wait 24 hours to get a response. After about a week not being able to resolve the issue; my money was refunded. The whole process may have taken a week.

I received an email a few days ago offering a new product called ScreenCamGeneratorSuite developed by Armand and another partner. I will admit that I didn't purchase it, and use it myself; because I already have a product called Camtasia Studio, produced by Tech Smith. I have used my product to develope training videos for some offline consulting work with success. I am seeing more and more of the larger players on the internet adding sound and video to their sites; and I am convinced that this will be a wave of the future.

Most everyone these days are into bundling; this allows them to sell their products for a higher price. Bundling is just combining more methods of distributing your data; ebooks, CD's, tutorials using audio-visual products, actual printed out data sent through the mail. Multimedia options adds value, or at least perceived value to your product allowing you to receive a larger dollar amount for the product.

Several of the larger marketers have determined that price in itself was not the major determining factor in the purchasing decision. The perceived value of the product influenced the decision more than price. The perceived value of a product increases with the number of ways the product is presented and bundled.

This may be due to the fact customers are different and some are satisfied just to read an ebook; while others wants a printed copy in their hands. Some prefer audio-visual and by offering more options and reaching more customers, you make more sales. The interesting thing was that offering the individual items wasn't as profitable for the marketer.

Today, by offering a higher priced bundle, they are making more profit with less traffic and sales. One of the reasons is that is much easier to get afilliates to promote the product; because they work on a percentage of sale. If the price of the product is higher then the affiliate earns more with less work. This actually just translates into more traffic and less attention to conversion rate for the originator of the product. It seems to be working as I have watched many of the guru's following this pattern.

I have received some videos created by ScreenCamGeneratorSuite and it looked every bit as good as what I produce with Camtasia Studio. The main difference I noticed was the cost. Camtasia Studio costs about twice as much as ScreenCamGeneratorSuite; I can't compare the various details of the two products; because I haven't actually used Armand's product. I am basing this endorsement on my past dealings with Armand and the support, and quick refund that I received.
