The feeling caused by the anticipation or the realization of danger; an uneasy feeling that something may happen contrary to ones hopes; a feeling of deep, and reverential awe and dread.
How many times have you had this feeling?
Fear can come in many forms and each is just as devastating as any other. It causes you to procrastinate and dread starting any thing new until you just absolutely have too. It has been said that " the only thing to fear is fear itself " but when your confronted with something unknown...
It's not very comfortable is it?
Everyone that has ever done anything has had to confront their fears and move forward. It is actually a natural process, and the more times you confront your fears, and win; the less impact they will have on you. When you learn that the feeling is only temporary, and leave as soon as you accomplish the task; the more you will be able to move forward and overcome your fears. It is this freedom, that allows you to go boldly forward without hesitation. Many times when you get though the initial anticipation due to fear; you will find others have gone through the same thing. The first step is the most difficult with each small step it gets easier. Fear becomes less frightful and more manageable.
Don't let fear rob you of your dreams; take that step, and join the others that have found the freedom to move ahead. Dread of doing things, because of fear can be one of the biggest and hardest problems to overcome. Each individual has it within themselves to overcome fears; it's just a matter of pushing yourself forward and doing it. There is an old saying, " the only thing to fear is fear itself ", I don't know who said it, but I believe it. Of course, I'm still not to partial to poisonous snakes and spiders.
Fear is a lot like a snake, its out there and waiting; who knows why, I don't. Probably looking for something to eat, but in almost all cases; if you make a lot of noise and watch where you step, you'll be OK. I have been told by some outdoors-man; that snakes will go the other way, if given a chance, and you don't startle them. I try to not get close enough to startle them, but to get where I wanted to be I've had to go through their domain. I didn't say it was easy, or I was comfortable; just necessary. You see, I was raised in copperhead country and lived in a rural area with a high population of copperhead snakes. Today, since people keep moving out of town and into the rural areas; the snakes have picked up and moved. Where I used to live, no one has seen a copperhead snake in years.
I think fear is the same way; it just kind of picks up and moves out of the road of forward moving people. Fear is just an obstacle to be overcome like any other. Fear can, and will be defeated; if you make it a necessity and with a little effort you will be going full throttle forward. Fear is there to be overcome by the relentless marketer. If you do this long enough and begin to learn the ropes, it will become second nature and you will just adapt and go on. A few failures will happen, but if you continue to be persistant you will eventually know instinctively what to do. You just have to work through fear; especially the fear of success.
Some people like to stay in a comfortable position; even if they have to give up their dreams. These people are actually afraid of success and will continue to plod along as they always have in the past. Successful people are willing to take chances and see where they end up, even if they have to change to make the transition. Don't let any kind of fear rob you of your dreams just keep moving and you will get through and probably lose a portion of your fear. Experience doing things gives you more confidance and tends to eliminate fear the next time you encounter something similar.
