I want to say up front that " I hate spam" so signing up for this group means you really won't get many emails, if any. I use the site itself as my means of passing on information. Your inbox and junk mail box will not be filled to over flowing by signing up with our members group. I actually use the list as a means of leverage trying to get bargains for the members and myself from other webmasters.
I have been asked to sell advertising and it is tempting at times ($$$); but so far I have been able to support the site by affiliate sales that are posted on the site itself. I consider all email's as spam if all it does is offer a bunch of affiliate links. Just because someone signs up to receive information doesn't mean they want to receive 5 emails a week with a bunch of affiliate links promoting anything.
In the last two years, I believe I only sent out confirmation emails and passwords. I try and respond to individual email's from members; but any other information will posted in some form on the webpages. I get too much spam in my inbox, and I hate it so, I just pay for my auto responder just in case something great comes up and will only last for a day or two.
Honestly, in 2 years, I have only found about 10 products I felt were worth promoting; I posted these on the website. I have been asked by some members to send notification when I update the webpage so they don't have to check. I will try to comply with the individual requests by creating an auto responder just for those members.
I believe in honor systems so I will give you the "Secret Resources" before asking you to join our membership.
